Decorations in Monster Hunter World are little gems that each player earns as a reward for completing quests. These items are important because they make characters powerful. If you can earn good decorations, you will be able to assemble an effective end game build. Unfortunately, acquiring these little gems can be tedious. So, you can use all the help you can get which is what this article will provide for you.
Decoration Tiers in Monster Hunter World
There are three tiers of decorations in Monster Hunter World – small, medium, and large. The small tier has decorations like Attack Boost, Vitality, and Critical Eye. The medium tier has weakness exploit, max might, and critical boost, and so on. And the large tier has handicraft and free element/ammo up.
If you assumed that the value of these decorations will increase as the tiers increase, you would be right. Large tier decorations are more valuable than the medium tier, which are more valuable than the small tier decorations.
One of the best ways to acquire decorations in this game is to complete the limited-time Event quests available on the Quest Board. These quests are quite easy as they only involve killing small monsters. You can also complete the tougher Event quests; however, these require a huge amount of time.
Farming Decorations in Iceborne in Monster Hunter World
There are three techniques you can use to unlock decorations in Iceborne; they are:
You can perform regular investigations in Iceborne to acquire materials that will give you decorations. While there is no official drop rate percentage for decorations, there are often gem rewards for players when they complete an investigation.
Another way to win decorations is to participate in event quests. However, conducting investigations and participating in event quests are not highly efficient ways to earn decorations.
Monster Hunter World now allows you to roll for Warped Streamstones at the Elder Melder. You can even breeze through all your streamstones by rolling Warped Feystones; however, you’ll need to secure high commendations and research points to do this.
The Elder Melder has Soul Stream I and Soul Stream II and both of these award new Streamstones to their players. These streamstones are very expensive as they consume a large number of resources. So, endeavor to proceed with caution. Finally, Soul Stream I and Soul Stream II award ancient feystones and carved Feystones and these decorations are what you will farm at level 4.
If we were to make a recommendation, it would be to put your focus on Soul Stream. This is because it is the better option to farm decorations.
Master Rank Tempered Monsters
The Master Rank contains tempered quests which, if you complete them, can earn you up to five rewards. However, to identify which quest will provide you with the most rewards, you will be required to focus on your resource center.
Quests such as these are quite tough to accomplish. However, they provide higher rewards than other quests do. If you accomplish them, you will be awarded more streamstones than you would get from other quests. These streamstones can then be turned in at the Elder Melder.
More often than not, Master Rank quests reward players with ancient feystones and carved feystones, some of which become small decorations. These quests also give old high rank decorations.
Apart from Master Rank quests, The Guiding Lands also rewards its players with decorations; however, it isn’t as efficient as the Tempered Investigations. If you want to gather a considerable amount of feystones, you will do well to focus on the Tempered Investigations.
Monster Hunter World decoration farming is an arduous and time-consuming task; however, it is worth it. You cannot avoid it though, as it is required in order to make considerable progress in the game. We recommend that you complete High Level Event quests in order to get the best rewards. Alternatively, you can fight Tempered Elder Dragons and complete Master Rank quests.
